Spikey

Spikey The whole goal for Spikey is to prevent drinks from being spiked at pubs, bars and parties. This neon colored plastic “use once only” stopper glows in UV light to let everybody know that the beverage it is protecting is tamper proof. There is only room in Spikey for a straw to be inserted through the top. Apparently Spikey has started catching on in the UK, as a number of nightclubs have started carrying the brightly colored plastic stopper. Spikey can be purchased over the internets in .uk from Barmans in a pack of 10 for $2 or ten packs of ten for $15.

Popdrive

Popdrive Bottle openers have graced these pages before in the past, I even own a pair of Reef Fanning sandals from a Steep and Cheap special. But I don’t really use bottle openers since I don’t usually drink beer. But when they combine a bottle opener with a USB flash drive, that’s still somewhat noteworthy. The Popdrive combines a neon green bottle opener with a 1GB USB flash drive all on a convenient keyring. It measures 3.75″ x 1.5″ x .25″, so it is slightly on the bulky side but thats the price you pay for drink opening and data storage convenience. The Popdrive is available from Sky Mall for $30 or X-Treme Geek also for $30.

The Winerack

The Winerack I am getting kind of tired of the whole alcohol concealment shtick, but like the heated USB products, I cannot stop myself from posting them. So in addition to The Beerbelly, the Sneaky Shorts and the SitnSip we now have The Winerack by the makers of The Beerbelly. According to these folks, not only could you increase your apparent bra size, but you can also carry around your favorite beverage. The Winerack is “almost ready” so it is not yet available for purchase.

Shotgunator

Shotgunator Back before I could stand the taste of beer in my early years of college, shotgunning was my preferred method of consuming. I never really had a problem using my car key for the desired result, but should somebody be in the market for a keychain that proclaims their method of alcohol enjoyment there is the Shotgunator. This keyring addition includes tools for opening both bottles and cans in addition to providing the shotgun opening. The Shotgunator is available from its producer for $7 shipped.

Fred Cool Shooters

Fred Cool Shooters If the Dixie Cup method of making ice shot glasses isn’t getting it done any more but you want ice shot glass to complement your Ice Jacket perhaps its time to turn to the Cool Shooters by Fred. The Cool Shooter produced ice shot glassess look a little cleaner (though that just might be their glossy photos talking) then the Dixie cup method and they are also thinner. One tray can produced four frozen shot glasses at a time. Fred Cool Shooters are available from Shop Fosters.com for $8 or SeeFree for $7.

SitnSip

SitnSip First the Beer Belly, then the Sneaky Shorts, now we have the SitnSip for your somewhat covert beverage carrying needs. This portable seat cushion is insulated and the bladder can hold 96 oz. or eight beers or full size margaritas. Even though it is insulated, I would think that somebody sitting on the seat cushion for a few hours would have a warming effect. I would also think that you wouldn’t fool anybody trying to sneak alcohol into a sporting event with this. The Sit n Sip itself costs $25 and extra bladders run $15 a piece.

Headmaster Beer Pump

Headmaster Beer Pump Its been a while since I have featured a beer pump here so here we go with the Headmaster Beer Pump. The Headmaster’s claim to fame is its even pour without the need for CO2. Instead it uses some form of electronic pressure system. Under normal operations, you have to plug the Headmaster in, but it can also operate using the $80 battery pack for up to four hours away from an outlet. The Headmaster itself is available for pre-order until November 30 for $130.

Ice Jacket

vodkas in ice The Ice Jacket is a mold for encasing liquor bottles in ice. The Ice Jacket sounds easy to use, just slip the bottle into the sleeve, close the seals, fill with water and plug. Since all the water is closed inside the jacket, you can fit the bottle in your freezer however it fits. When its serving time, let the bottle stand at room temperature for twenty minutes and run the jacket briefly under warm water, release and serve. According to Slash Gear, the Ice Jacket will be available in January 2007 for $35.
