Sorapot

Sorapot side view Its getting to be the time of year when I start thinking about tea now that there is occasionally a chill in the air. The Sorapot is a tea pot designed by Joey Roth to provide a modern way to make tea. The pot appears to comply with the majority of Tommy‘s How to Make Tea guide though the review indicates that the pot doesn’t hold heat very well. The other quibble I have with the pot is the price. $200 for the brushed version or $250 for the mirror polished version seems an awful lot to pay for even an attractive tea pot. Still it does look like a well designed pot with an interesting method of opening and closing. Check out the Sorapot Tea Brewing Video to see how it works. The pot can be obtained directly from it’s web site.

  1. If it doesn’t hold heat well, then it simply fails as a teapot. Maybe you could throw a cozy over it? I’ll stick with my $20 Beehouse.

A new shipment of tea came in yesterday! I was almost down to teabags. (Shudder!)
